Google API Key

Modified on Wed, 14 Oct at 10:29 AM

To display the map, you need a Google Maps API key, which you can create for free using your Google account.

Google provides 10,000 free map loads per month, which is sufficient for most online stores. If you exceed this limit, the cost is approximately $7 USD per additional 1,000 map loads.

Setup Guide (5–10 minutes)

1. Open Google Cloud Console

https://console.cloud.google.com/google/maps-apis/credentials

Sign in with your Google account.

2. Create a Project

Select an existing project or click New Project, enter a name (e.g. Google Maps), and click Create.

3. Enable Billing

If prompted, link a billing account and add a payment method. Usage within the monthly free allowance does not incur any charges.

4. Enable Maps JavaScript API

Go to: https://console.cloud.google.com/apis/library

Search for Maps JavaScript API and click Enable.

5. Generate Your API Key

Go to: https://console.cloud.google.com/apis/credentials

Click Create Credentials → API Key and copy the generated key.

For security reasons, we recommend restricting the API key to your store's domain and the Maps JavaScript API.

If you encounter any difficulties, we're happy to help you with the setup.
