Shipping Cost Limit Setting


You can stay ahead by identifying orders where the shipping cost exceeds the standard rate agreed upon with your courier before generating the shipping label. You'll now see an alert in red for the shipment cost exceeding your limit depending on the destination and the additional weight.


This ensures you know upfront if you'll incur more costs than the customer paying for the delivery. 



How do you set the Shipping Cost Limit Setting?


Go to xConnector - Profile - Preferences - Automation:

- Default shipping connector - Select a default courier (for the moment, it works only for one of your integrated couriers)

- Get shipping rate - check this option so you can get the delivery cost before saving the shipping label

- Shipping cost limit value - Set the maximum cost value at which you wish to be alerted if exceeded




Important note! These settings will apply to orders received after you have made the adjustments. They will not apply to orders received before the settings were made.

Now you can filter all the orders that exceed the Shipping cost limit. 

Go to Filters - Flag - Extra shipping cost 


The application will display all the orders that exceed the Shipping cost limit. 


Important note! This feature is only available for certain couriers who allow the function of calculating the shipment cost before saving the shipping label.

By the courier contract with Fan Courier, a standard delivery address costs is 20 Ron

I need the Shipping Cost Limit Setting so I can check which orders exceed my agreed delivery cost so I set the following:


1. Shopify - Shipping and Delivery - 20 Ron

2. xConnector - Profile - Preferences - Automation


Here you can fill in any other limit you need to check. it can be the same amount as you defined for delivery on your website or it can be more, or less. 

Case 1: I receive an order with a standard delivery address - the shipping price doesn't exceed my limit so it's not marked as red

Oras Pitesti, Judet Arges - It is within the service area so the shipping cost does not exceed the standard cost agreed upon in the contract. 18.64 ron < 20 ron



Case 2: I receive an order with supplementary distance from a standard delivery address - the shipping price does exceed my limit so it's  marked as red

Sat Beculesti, Judet Arges - It is not within the service area so the shipping cost exceeds the standard cost agreed upon in the contract. 34,06 Ron > 20 Ron





For those orders that the exceeds the limit and you agree with the client who is willing to pay the difference - you can always change manuallythe cash-on-delivery value at step 3 under "Content" so you can add the difference.




At the final step of the shipping label generation - Observation tab - it displays all the couriers integrated into my xConnector account along with the shipping cost. The lowest cost is highlighted in bold, and the default courier selectat - Courier tab - is indicated by the text selected.




This feature is available for the Advanced subscription plan




No Email Address Filter

This feature will display orders that don’t have a customer email. Now, you can decide which invoices must be printed and included in the package. For orders with an email address, invoices can automatically be sent on the email. Check here how can you send automatically the invoice.

This feature is available for all the subscription plan


Collect Points Delivery Filter

Quickly identify orders that must be shipped to specific Collect point (you don't have yet the Collect points widget installed? Check here how can you set it: 


This feature is available for all the Advanced subscription plan

Username Filter

Monitor orders based on which users have interacted with them in xConnector (like adding notes or generating documents). If multiple users work on the same order, this filter will show the orders for all users that interacted at some point on them.


This feature is available for all the subscription plan



You can check all the filters available in xConnector on the left side of the screen. The newly added filters are marked below in red.
