Tag orders if customer placed more than 1 order in the last 24h

Modified on Tue, 3 Sep at 7:32 PM

It often happens that online stores receive multiple orders from the same customer within a short period of time (either by mistake or intentionally). If all the orders are shipped and the customers refuse them, the return rate increases, leading to higher costs for the online store.

To avoid these situations, we have implemented a Flow that helps identify multiple orders from the same customer within a specific time frame.

Steps to Implement the Flow:

  1. Shopify > Apps > Flows

  2. Import and Activate the Flow (see attached)

As a result:

All orders placed by the same customer within 24 hours will have a saved tag displayed in both Shopify and xConnector. In xConnector, you can filter these orders by the tag to manage each case individually.

The flow is currently set for 24 hours, but it can be modified. You just need to edit, adjust, and save the existing flow.

If you wish, you can modify the 24-hour interval to 72 hours to cover 3 days (taking into account the weekend as well).

Based on this tag, you can filter the orders so that the application will display only the orders placed by the same customer within the set timeframe.
