
This error occurs when generating the SmartBill invoice and when the Use product code option is checked in the SmartBill platform, but the product in the order for which the invoice was generated did not have a SKU code defined in Shopify when the order was placed.

To prevent this error in the future, you must make sure that in Shopify you have defined SKU codes for all products before receiving orders for them.
And don't forget that SKU in Shopify should be the same with product code in SmartBill.
Solutions:
1. If the SKU code does not exist on the order:
a. Edit the order, remove the product, and add it again now that it has an SKU code, then generate the invoice, or
b. Disable the option “Use product code from SmartBill”, so the product code is no longer required (however, stock will not be deducted when the invoice is generated), or
c. Generate the invoice directly in the SmartBill platform
2. If the SKU code exists on the order:
a. Verify that the product is defined in SmartBill with the same product code as in Shopify, or
b. Check in xConnector → Profile → Connected services → SmartBill → Warehouse preferences that the “Use warehouse” option is enabled and that the same warehouse is selected as the one assigned to the product in SmartBill
