After setting up your account and connecting your couriers, you can print shipping labels in a few clicks.

How to a create shipping label?

  1. Go to xConnector - Orders - New Orders

  2. Select one order by clicking the box right next to the order’s number

3. Click the green ‘Create document’ button on the right-hand side

4. A pop-up window will appear with four tabs you have to go through just by clicking the ‘Next’ button (right-bottom of the pop-up window)

 See below all the tabs:

  • Courier: you can choose which of your integrated couriers you want to use to dispatch your selected order. You can also check other options available for the selected courier.

If you work with multiple carries and if you have set in Shopify that all the couriers to appear on the Checkout page and a customer selects a certain courier when placing the order - when you generate a shipping label the courier can be pre-selected automatically (so you do not have to select it in this page)

  • Rename the Service name field with the exact Shopify name of the delivery method (Rate name). Go to: xConnector - Connected services - select the courier - Service name (fill in the exact rate name from Shopify and Save)
  • Check this option: xConnector - Preferences - Automation - Match courier by name

As a result - when you generate a shipping label, the Courier  will be automatically selected and you don't have to select it manually.

Example:

This will work only if you have the same rate name for both rate ranges in Shopify

xConnector service name is the same as in Shopify

  • Recipient: in this tab, you can find the pre-filled customer data. If you need to, you can modify the fields as you'd like.

  • Content: in this tab, you can find pre-filled data about the content of the order and the payment method. You can modify the fields as you wish (except for the payment method) if needed. Changing the number of product pieces you want to generate a shipping label will result in a partially fulfilled order that you can fully fulfill after you create shipping labels for all the remaining products.

  • Observations: In this tab, you can fill data for Shipment contents, or you can pre-fill it automatically with default values here:

xConnector > Preferences > Content helpers > Content description

Also, you can check options like:

  •  sending a Shopify notification (it will send the Shipping confirmation customised in Shopify > Shipping confirmation)
  • marking the order as Dispatched

Depending on the API’s courier in this tab, the negotiated shipping price between the shop and the courier will be displayed here:

 5.  Once you’ve completed all the required fields in all four tabs, click Create shipment button.

The following window will tell you that the shipments have been successfully created.

Then click the blue button that says ‘View shipping document’.

Your shipping label will open as a PDF document in a new browser tab, ready to print.
